Yesterday the Lamborghini Huracán Sterrato, the first all-terrain super sports car in the world, made its North American debut in Miami at the Lamborghini Beach Lounge of 1 Hotel South Beach. The charming luxury hotel offers the perfect backdrop for the latest model of the Huracán line.
“The feeling I get when I drive this car is in some way similar to the emotion a work of art sparks off in me – it is unique, profoundly intriguing and without a doubt exciting,” said Automobili Lamborghini Chairman and CEO Stephan Winkelmann during the exclusive presentation event attended also by Rouven Mohr, Chief Technical Officer; Mitja Borkert, Head of Design; and Federico Foschini, Chief Marketing and Sales Officer.
Designed to offer perfect control even on surfaces with poor grip, the incredible Huracán Sterrato is fitted with a 5.2-liter V10 engine putting out 610 HP maximum power and 560 Nm of torque (at 6500 rpm), combined with a 7-speed dual clutch transmission and electronically controlled all-wheel drive with self-locking rear mechanical differential. This new Lamborghini gem accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.4 seconds and reaches a top speed of 260 km/h, achieving a new frontier of driving pleasure.
Two Huracán Sterratos are on display at the Lamborghini Beach Lounge in Miami, one with Verde Gea (green) livery and the other in Bianco Phanes (white). The exhibition route shows the cars in action on different surfaces – dirt, gravel and sand. The new premium 3T gravel bike, Exploro Racemax for Huracán Sterrato, is then associated with the all-terrain experience. Designed by 3T Cycling and Automobili Lamborghini, it has the same Verde Gea livery as that of the new super sports car.
The works of art of the “Disintegrating” series, depicting super sports cars that seem to explode, by the famous artist Fabian Oefner are also exhibited inside the Lamborghini Beach Lounge. In Disintegrating X - Lamborghini Miura SV (2019), the photographs of every single piece of a 1972 Miura SV are assembled in a composition where the car appears to disintegrate at full speed. In Disintegrating Essenza (2022), on the other hand, Oefner photographed and joined all 2,358 parts of the race car to create a hyper-realistic illusion of the car being launched into the atmosphere like a rocket into the night sky.
Finally, the new Excalibur Spider Huracán Monobalancier (MB) watch by Automobili Lamborghini partner Roger Dubuis was presented on the occasion of the Huracán Sterrato’s debut. With only 28 copies available, the watch is the result of the fusion between the watchmaking excellence of the firm and the spirit of the Huracán Sterrato super car: maximum traction, maximum acceleration and maximum emotion.
The Lamborghini Beach Lounge in Miami is open only upon invitation December 1-3, 2022.
