Urus and LM002 Drive in the Alps: NEVE Mode ON

Driving down the icy asphalt of the Trentino region going toward the snow-covered roads surrounding Lake Braies, passing by Bruneck’s street markets reflecting the magic of Christmas and where Urus’ roar riverberates in the midst of the natural architectural wonders of the Alps: a breathtaking journey on board Urus and LM002.

The tour started off from Sant’Agata with ANIMA in STRADA mode and covered 750 km of Italy heading northbound to arrive where the pleasure of driving Urus is emphasized by the winding roads passing through the woods. Up and up again, to where the snow covers the edges of the roads, those roads traveled by ski enthusiasts on their way to Plan de Corones, Corda Nera and Monte Sommo. Standing out in the caravan is a black LM002 of 1990, a restoration masterpiece by Polo Storico that shows no sign of aging.

Bruneck’s Christmas street markets fill the center of town with a magical atmosphere in the midst of the mountain chalets lit up for the holidays, the fragrance of sweets and kiosks. Passers-by stopped to marvel at Sant’Agata’s Super SUVs in the center of this characteristic and warm setting.

The second day was pure adventure in search of Lake Braies. Its surface, totally iced over and surrounded by woods, bows in reverence to the majestic rocky wall of Croda del Becco. The snow-covered roads winding around it were the perfect backdrop for putting Urus to the test, as it reached panoramic spots with ultimate naturalness. Not a single flaw, traction always at the max and the thrill of the 650 CV twin-turbo V8 perfectly controlled by the winter set-up of the ANIMA system: NEVE mode on!
