Amy Shore and the Art of Automotive Photography
Amy Shore is an enthusiastic 27-year-old British automotive and lifestyle photographer who has the most natural and alluring ability to photograph cars just like she photographs people and their emotions. Her pictures are not just the obvious representation of a car: Amy tells a story through the car itself, the surrounding landscape and, in this case, the warm Italian light.
She came to Italy with her fiancé, took a Lamborghini Huracán Spyder for a spin in Tuscany for a few days and produced beautiful, emotional shots you don’t even need to be a motorhead to appreciate. While you look at them, the atmosphere of those moments transpires from the colours and perspectives, and the car almost seems alive and with its own personality.
Amy shared with us how her passion for photography began, her initial difficulty in gaining trust and breaking through in the automotive industry as a young girl. She also, of course, described the challenge of photographing the sharp lines and edges of a Lamborghini which, being unlike anything she had ever done before, ensured her a fascinatingly fresh approach.
