The Super Veloce lineage has shaped Lamborghini history, from Miura SV to Revuelto SV
For more than five decades, Lamborghini SV models have represented some of the most performance-enriched versions of the brand’s iconic V12s models. The SV models feature more power to further increase performance over the original, undergo lightweighting engineering to enhance the pure driving experience, and are produced in limited numbers for customers and enthusiasts.
The designation “SV”, for Super Veloce (Super Fast), first appeared 55 years ago and quickly became synonymous with some of the most radical road cars from Sant’Agata Bolognese. The initial Lamborghini SV concept dates back to the 1971 Miura SV. From the very beginning, Lamborghini pursued the idea of not merely refining an existing model, but transforming it into a significantly sharper and higher-performance version. This has given rise to a distinct tradition, with the SV version often regarded as the technical icon of its generation. SV models include the Miura SV, Diablo SV, Murciélago SV, the Aventador SV and now the Revuelto SV that was introduced at the Monetery Car Week in California in August, 2026.

Personally, it has been a privilege to introduce three generations of Super Veloce models – the Murciélago LP 670-4 SV, the Aventador SV and, this year, the Revuelto SV – each representing the pinnacle of Lamborghini performance in its time while carrying forward the legacy that began with the Miura SV."
The Revuelto SV is the first Super Veloce in Lamborghini history to feature a hybrid electric powertrain. The car establishes a new benchmark by combining the emotional appeal of a naturally aspirated V12 engine with the raw power and efficiency of hybrid technology. The Revuelto SV delivers 1065CV, 1425Nm of torque and achieves the highest performance figures ever recorded by a production Lamborghini. Produced in a limited series of 1963 units, the Revuelto SV redefines the Super Veloce philosophy for a new era of high performance.

While each generation has embraced the most advanced technologies of its era, the essence of the Super Veloce concept has remained unchanged: uncompromising performance, even more precise handling, exclusivity and a driving experience designed to amplify the connection between driver and machine. From Miura SV to Revuelto SV, 55 years of Lamborghini Super Veloce models continue to redefine the boundaries of performance and driving emotion.
Lamborghini Miura SV (1971)
As an optimized variant of the Miura, the Miura SV was unveiled to the public in 1971. Its 4-liter V12 mid-engine produced 385hp and accelerated the first modern-era supercar to 100km/h in around 5.5 seconds. The Miura SV had a top speed of well over 280km/h. The final evolutionary stage of the Miura series featured a reinforced body, improved cooling, and enhanced driving comfort, as well as increased power. The Miura SV became the first Super Veloce Lamborghini, simultaneously defining the SV concept while also setting the standard for subsequent high-performance models. Only 150 Miura SVs were delivered to customers.
Lamborghini Diablo SV (1995)
The Diablo SV further defined Lamborghini in the realm of exclusive supercars in 1995. The Super Veloce version was 40kg lighter than the original, and featured refined aerodynamics, including enlarged air intakes. It also featured an optimized suspension system, brakes, and classic rear-wheel drive. The result was a radical focus on performance, and the rebirth of the SV concept in the modern Lamborghini era. A 5.7-liter V12 produced 510hp which allowed the Diablo SV to accelerate from standing to 100km/h in around 4.5 seconds.
Lamborghini Murciélago LP 670‑4 SV (2009)
In the new millennium, Lamborghini launched the spectacular Lamborghini Murciélago LP 670‑4 SV. The car featured a 6.5-liter V12 that produced an incredible 670hp. The 0-100km/h time was around 3.2 seconds, but it was not only the raw power that delivered such incredible performance. The Lamborghini Murciélago LP 670‑4 SV was around 100kg lighter than the original, and featured new aerodynamics that included a rear spoiler and front splitter. Featuring all-wheel-drive for the first time in a Super Veloce, the car was rigorously tuned for the racetrack. Only 350 coupes and 50 roadsters were produced during its production run. Limited and iconic, the Lamborghini Murciélago LP 670‑4 SV marked the pinnacle of the classic V12 era.
Lamborghini Aventador SV (2015)
In 2015, Lamborghini introduced the Aventador SV as the flagship model of the lineup. The 6.5-liter V12 produced 750hp and the uncompromising focus on performance meant that the super sports car could accelerate from 0-100 km/h in just 2.8 seconds. Everything was designed to maximum precision, including the lighter carbon-fiber body and refined aerodynamics. Limited to 600 units, every drive was an exclusive demonstration of pure SV DNA.
Lamborghini Revuelto SV (2026)
As the latest evolution of Lamborghini's legendary Super Veloce lineage, the Revuelto SV translates the traditional SV values into the hybrid era. Enhanced aerodynamics, lightweight engineering, a newly developed suspension, next-generation braking technology and the dedicated Pilota driving mode creates a more focused and engaging driving experience, further strengthening the connection between driver and machine. The Revuelto SV represents the most extreme interpretation of the Revuelto, becoming the latest chapter in Lamborghini's Super Veloce legacy.
