Lamborghini Jalpa was first introduced to the world at the Geneva Motor Show in 1981. The 40th anniversary of this unique GT berlinetta is well worth celebrating. The prototype from 1981 was special: based on a Silhouette that was never sold and functioned as base model, the 1981 Jalpa presented a unique bronze hue and other aesthetic details that did not appear in later units, therefore making it entirely one of a kind.

Lamborghini Jalpa presented important technical innovations, first and foremost the final evolution of the 90-degree V8 motor, now fully in aluminum and with four chain-controlled camshafts.

The Jalpa, named after a famous breed of fighting bulls, entered production in 1982 and was available until 1988, when it was pulled from the line with 420 units sold. It’s still regarded as an iconic vehicle of its time for its thrilling and authentic driving performance. Its elegance is also fresh in the mind of enthusiasts despite the passing of time: the interior was extremely luxurious, fitted with premium leather and carpeting.

No matter how much time passes, the uniqueness of Lamborghini Jalpa remains.
