It was recently a special day for Maurizio Reggiani, Vice President of Motorsport Automobili Lamborghini. The University of Bologna awarded Reggiani with an honorary degree in Mechanical Engineering to celebrate his innovative contributions to the automotive industry and, consequently, to the development of Italian technology.

The extraordinary career of Maurizio Reggiani includes fifteen years as Chief Technical Officer of Automobili Lamborghini, and the ceremony at the University was attended, among others, by Lamborghini representatives such as Chairman and CEO Stephan Winkelmann.

“It’s an honor for me to work side-by-side with Maurizio,” said Mr. Winkelmann. “This honorary degree is a celebration of his extraordinary talents, which he has been gifting the company with for decades. Thanks to Maurizio’s contributions, Lamborghini achieved important results in the field of Research and Development, and now this mutual path is extending to the new goals we have set for Motorsport.”

Reggiani remarked, "It’s not easy for me to describe the emotions I’m feeling right now, including my gratitude to everyone who has made this possible.”

Maurizio Reggiani’s outstanding achievements over the years have also added value to the territory of Sant’Agata Bolognese, where Automobili Lamborghini has its roots and headquarters.
