Lamborghini announces 2027 Super Trofeo calendars for Temerario debut
Lamborghini Squadra Corse has unveiled the calendars for the 2027 Lamborghini Super Trofeo Asia, Europe and North America seasons, all three of which will debut the Temerario Super Trofeo in their respective regions.
Super Trofeo Europe will reaffirm its long-standing commitment to SRO Motorsports Group, with all five regular season rounds held on the support bill of the GT World Challenge Europe series, while Super Trofeo North America similarly confirms its collaboration with the IMSA WeatherTech Sports Car Championship. Super Trofeo Asia will operate a combination of stand-alone and support events.
Lamborghini Head of Motorsport, Andrea Reggiani, said: “The 2027 global Super Trofeo calendar features a series of exciting venues and events across North America, Europe and Asia. In North America, the season will get underway alongside the 75th edition of the 12 Hours of Sebring, while in Europe the championship will once again support the 24 Hours of Spa. In Asia, we will return to Suzuka after many years, adding another iconic venue to an already outstanding calendar.
“With this calendar, we wanted to give our racing customers the opportunity to compete at some of the most prestigious circuits in the world, experiencing the same iconic venues that have shaped the history of motorsport. Combined with the arrival of the new Temerario Super Trofeo, we are looking forward to an exceptional 2027 season.”
Lamborghini Super Trofeo Europe
The longest running edition of the one-make championship returns for its 19th season, and the 2027 campaign will kick off in familiar surroundings at Imola on the weekend of 21-23 May. A month later, round two will take place at Spa-Francorchamps, the Belgian venue standing alone as the only circuit to have featured in every Super Trofeo Europe calendar since the inaugural edition in 2009. The series then heads back to Italy, with Misano hosting the third round of the year in mid-July before the competitors head to the Nürburgring at the end of August. A notable addition is the Hungaroring circuit on the outskirts of Budapest, which will return to the European calendar for the first time since 2010. Finally, the sixth and final round will take place during the same week as the Lamborghini World Finals, the location and date of which will be announced in due course.
Lamborghini Super Trofeo Asia
The Asian season kicks off at the Sepang International Circuit in early April; the Malaysian circuit having hosted the one-make championship 11 times previously. A month later, the Inje Circuit in South Korea will be the venue for the second round of the year, on the weekend of 14-16 May. For the first time since the 2019 season, the series heads to Suzuka for round three in June, part of a Japanese double header which concludes with a trip to Fuji two weeks later. The final round in Asia will take place at the Shanghai International Circuit on the weekend of 27-29 August, before a lengthy break ahead of the season finale.
Lamborghini Super Trofeo North America
For the fourth consecutive season, the North American championship will begin at the iconic Sebring International Raceway, supporting the 12 Hours of Sebring on the weekend of 17-19 March. From the Florida east coast, the teams head over to California on the west coast for round two which will be held at Laguna Seca in early May. The mid-season appointment is once more reserved for the picturesque Watkins Glen International on the weekend of 24-26 June with Road America in Wisconsin, the venue for round four in August. The Indianapolis Motor Speedway will host the penultimate round of the year on the weekend of 17-19 September before the season comes to a close in November.
