Lamborghini’s Track-Only Hypercar Fires Up for the First Time

11 February 2020

Ahead of its world premiere in the summer of 2020, Lamborghini Squadra Corse’s new track-only hypercar underwent its first engine fire-up in the Sant’Agata Bolognese factory, and shortly afterwards a shakedown. The 6.5-liter V12 naturally aspirated engine, which will produce 830 CV, will be part of a limited edition model developed by the Centro Stile department of Squadra Corse.

Squadra Corse’s hypercar features a number of particularities which differ from the regular road car range. The car features a large rear wing, airscoop on the roof and a racing hood with dual air intakes. With an aluminum front frame and a carbon fiber monocoque, the hypercar has been designed adopting the highest safety standards as well as an innovative self-locking type differential that provides better driveability on the circuit.
