Lamborghini loves World Bee Day. The international celebration of May 20th was approved by the UN in 2017 and has been important for the automotive giant from the very beginning. In 2016 Lamborghini began an environmental biomonitoring program for the area of Sant’Agata Bolognese, and World Bee Day represents a chance for the brand to recommit.

Parco Lamborghini in Sant’Agata is home to 13 beehives for a total of about 600,000 bees. The beehives feature innovative technology thanks to the collaboration with Audi Environmental Foundation. The program monitors the bees’ health, environment, and work, leading to data that allows experts to strengthen and support the colonies during challenging climate conditions.

Lamborghini’s biomonitoring program allows the brand to be an active ally for the local ecosystem and community. The project is an integral part of a sustainability strategy that Lamborghini has been implementing since the brand’s headquarters went carbon neutral in 2015.
