Lamborghini at the Design Week with Karim Rashid

17 april 2018

Karim Rashid has designed two new sideboards to be added to the Authentic Living collection, a collaboration between the internationally-famous designer, Automobili Lamborghini and Riva 1920.

The integration of expert wood craftsmanship and forward-thinking design finds full expression in the new Inkline and Rivar sideboards presented at Salone del Mobile in Milan, an exceptional frame regarded as the ultimate observatory of the new horizons of design and furnishing.
The newest creations resulting from the partnership are based on a common feeling about design, luxury and quality and unify multi-functionality with pleasurable, minimal forms. They join the collection launched last year that includes the Klutch chair, the Speed table, the Dynamic sofa, the Klip desk and the Finesse bookcase, now also available with a carbon fiber finish.

Inkline, a low-profile sideboard in solid and multilayer wood, is characterized by rounded sides and tops surrounding the six drawers, assembled with dovetail joints and equipped with shaped fronts that reflect the lines of the Finesse bookcase. A central open space divides the two rows of drawers.

Rivar, an eye-catching sideboard in solid and multilayer wood composed of two side doors and central drawers, features sinuous and rounded lines recalling the shape of the Klip desk. Under the top there is a practical and functional open compartment.

Drawing inspiration from the passion for innovation and excellence of both Lamborghini and Riva 1920, Karim Rashid provided each piece of furniture with shapes that reflect the design of Lamborghini super sports cars and the quality of fine workmanship, using natural and genuine materials such as walnut, solid wood and black leather.
Able to cross-pollinate ideas, materials, behaviors and aesthetics, Karim Rashid is a legend of design who perfectly embodies the Informal Luxury concept of the Lamborghini lifestyle, aimed at enjoying the finest, discreet and exclusive things.
