The Lamborghini 350 GT is more than just a car: it represents the beginning of a fantastic adventure. It all started with the legendary Lamborghini 350 GTV, a twelve cylinder - 360 HP beast that was revealed for the first time in 1963 at Turin Motor Show. The prototype was considered too futuristic to go into production and Ferruccio Lamborghini decided to rework the design. The 350 GTV was adjusted to make it less extreme and the engine was derated to “just” 320 HP. The result was the new 350 GT, the first Lamborghini to officially go into production. Today, Automobili Lamborghini is proud to present the first 350 GT to be totally restored by Lamborghini PoloStorico. A special event was organized at the circuit at Modena to mark the moment when the vehicle was returned to its owner, so that all those attending could watch it running its first 80 km and admire its performance and ease of handling. The restoration of the vehicle involved the bodywork, the powerful engine, the cooling system and the brakes. The original leather interiors were restored by local specialists; the wooden steering wheel was renovated and repolished along with many other details and accessories, including the accelerator, clutch and brake pedals that were replaced with original vintage parts, and even the original radio, fitted by the vehicle’s first owner, is fully functional once again.
