MXGP Champion Tony Cairoli is Ready for New Challenges

Nine-time Motocross World Champion Tony Cairoli was recently the guest of Automobili Lamborghini at its Sant’Agata Bolognese headquarters. The KTM racer is a big enthusiast of the brand, and following a meeting with Chairman and CEO Stefano Domenicali, a visit to the Museum and a Factory tour, he had the opportunity to get closer to Squadra Corse, birthplace of the Huracán models that compete in the Super Trofeo and the GT3 championships.
Cairoli has participated in international races on four wheels for several years, and he now feels ready to take on an experience on the track as well. Compatibly with his numerous commitments in relation to the MXGP World Championship, in 2019 the multi-champion will carry out a number of tests at the wheel of racing vehicles developed by Squadra Corse. In addition, given his experience and abilities shown in the Rally races, Lamborghini Squadra Corse will involve Cairoli in future activities regarding the Urus ST-X, the racing version of the first Super SUV of Sant’Agata.
“I’m really proud to be able to be a part of the world of Lamborghini,” commented Cairoli. “I got to tour the Factory in Sant’Agata Bolognese and it was a fantastic experience. Now being involved in the customer racing programs of the Italian brand is an incredible opportunity, for which I am deeply grateful. I believe that Lamborghini represents the best of Made in Italy in the world and I am proud that they chose me to do this.”
It’s going to be fun…
