Lamborghini Accademia, the official driving school open to all fans of the Italian supercar brand, not just its customers, is making its first appearance at the famous Mugello Circuit in Tuscany from July 17 to 22. The Italian track is just one of the new stand-out features of Lamborghini Accademia’s 2017 program. It is particularly important because the Mugello date will mark the first appearance of a new entry in the Accademia fleet: the new Lamborghini Huracán Performante. As well as the new Aventador S and the entire Huracán range, participants will therefore have the exclusive chance to drive Lamborghini’s new top-of-the-range V10 on one of the best tracks in the world – presented at the Geneva Motor Show back in March, this new marvel already holds the track record for road-legal vehicles on the Nordschleife of the Nürburgring, at 6’52”01.
The Lamborghini Accademia program at Mugello is the advanced type, in other words two days of full-immersion driving under the supervision of Lamborghini’s instructors, a professional body of staff made up of Lamborghini Squadra Corse drivers who usually compete in the main GT championships around the world in the Italian manufacturer’s race cars.
As well as the track sessions on the Mugello circuit and the exercises designed to improve the participants’ driving skills, the program also aims to let them make the most of what one of Italy’s most beautiful regions has to offer. For example, the first day of the course includes the possibility to visit the famous Cantine Antinori winery for a dinner and wine tasting exclusively for Lamborghini customers.
