In the first six months of the current fiscal year 2018 (January 1 to June 30), Lamborghini reported another increase in worldwide deliveries, thus setting another record for the fourth consecutive half year. With a total of 2,327 cars delivered to customers around the world, this is an increase of 11% compared to the same period in the previous year and corresponds to the full year sales numbers of only five years ago.
The half-year growth was driven only by further increased sales of the two super sports car model lines Huracán and Aventador, since worldwide deliveries of the Super SUV Urus started only in July, as originally planned.
The sky-rocketing success of the Huracán Performante boosted global sales of the Huracán model line with the Coupé, Spyder and racecar versions, which showed an above-average increase of 15% from 1,400 to 1,604 units. The Aventador line kept the high level of the previous period with 673 units delivered.
The company expects to continue on a path of solid growth for the entire fiscal year 2018 and beyond, with the largest single market for Lamborghini once again being the US, followed by Japan, the United Kingdom, Germany, Canada, Italy and Greater China (Mainland China, Hong Kong and Macao). The strongest region was Europe with an increase of more than 30%.
