Miura S: another masterpiece restored

Lamborghini Polo Storico has completed the comprehensive restoration of yet another masterpiece: a 1971 Miura S (chassis no. 4845) now a shining Verde Scandal (green) with cozy blue leather interiors. After winning the Best 1970s Car award at the prestigious Hampton Court Palace Concours in London this summer, this perfectly restored legend was handed over to its owner recently during a dedicated track event.

It was the only Miura ever shipped out to South East Asia by Lamborghini at the time. After it was finished and delivered to its first owner in Singapore on June 28th 1971, it never made the journey back to Europe. It is a right hand drive Miura S with just under 1300 miles on the clock, making it probably the Miura with the lowest mileage in the world today.

It had not been out on the road since the end of the 1970s, and was purchased by its current owner in 2009: a collector from Indonesia who asked Polo Storico to undertake the complete restoration it needed at the end of 2016. From the very beginning of the Concours, the Miura S proved to be a magnet attracting the attention of the public, including the patron of the event, His Royal Highness Prince Michael of Kent, who stopped for quite some time to admire it and enquire about the restoration.
