Do emotions run higher on two or four wheels? To find out, it took about six hundred kilometers, the distance that separates Borgo Panigale and Sant’Agata Bolognese from Le Castellet, site of the Circuit Paul Ricard.
On the occasion of the third round of the Lamborghini Super Trofeo Europe, four journalists specialized in the automobile and motorcycle sectors arrived at the French track after alternating at the wheel and on the saddle of the jewels of two Italian paragons: Lamborghini and Ducati, “cousin” companies linked not only by belonging to the same automotive Group but also by the same philosophy that has always made them market trendsetters and not fast followers.
The first stop was at Ducati headquarters in Borgo Panigale to pick up the two two-wheeled protagonists: Multistrada Pikes Peak and SuperSport S. Next, it was off to Sant’Agata Bolognese, where the journalists were awaited by two Huracáns Coupé. Then they headed to Le Castellet, in France, along the Cisa motorway, the ideal route for enjoying the handling of the Lamborghinis and the Ducatis, and continued along the scenic roads of the Ligurian Coast and the Côte d’Azur.
Awaiting the group on the track at the Paul Ricard were the more than thirty Huracán Super Trofeo cars engaged in the Lamborghini single-brand championship and the ten Huracáns GT3 that battled for the 1000 km of the Blancpain GT Endurance Championship at Paul Ricard, scoring a win in the Pro-Am class.
