Lamborghini PoloStorico pays home to the Miura's 50th anniversary: on display at Amelia Island, the original car restored
Sant’Agata Bolognese, 11 marzo 2016 –
For more than a year, the original Miura SV presented at the Geneva Motorshow in 1971 has been undergoing restoration by Lamborghini PoloStorico and will be on display at the Amelia Island Concours (USA) from 10 to 13 March.
Using photographs and other historical documentation, each panel of the Miura has been restored to its original lines and angles, and every detail has been reconstructed or replaced following the original production sheets and records.
“This model is very important not only for its historic debut at the Geneva Motor Show and as the forerunner of the Miura SV, but also as a project carried out by PoloStorico,” remarked Enrico Maffeo, Head of PoloStorico. “We are delighted to be able to show this car, with the owner’s permission, for the first time in its perfectly restored state at the Amelia Island Concours.”
Maffeo added, “This is the year in which the Miura celebrates her 50th anniversary. This car not only embodies the unique appeal of the Miura, widely acknowledged as the forerunner of the modern super sports car models, but it is also a perfect example of the expertise of PoloStorico in providing the most authentic Lamborghini restorations.
