From Maine to Main Street, Lamborghini Giro 2015 Concludes in Style
With each passing year, Lamborghini Giro seems destined to outdo itself, and 2015 was no exception. In late July, owners from across North America gathered for this five day tour of the scenic Northeastern United States, ready to experience Lamborghini driving pleasure in its purest form. From the breathtaking ocean cliffs of Maine, to the historic landmarks of Boston, the select group of 21 drivers embarked on an exclusive journey across New England highways and scenic back roads, stopping along the way for premiere lodging, exquisite dining and unforgettable entertainment.
On the first day, guests arrived to the pristine shores of Cape Elizabeth, Maine, where they spent the afternoon relaxing and taking in the surrounding scenery at the world-renowned Inn by the Sea Hotel. That evening, owners and Lamborghini executives met for a welcome reception and freshly prepared seafood dinner featuring magnificent views of the North Atlantic coast.
The next morning, Lamborghini drivers gathered outside, ready to traverse the beautiful, twisting mountain roads of Maine and New Hampshire. Their polished cars, delivered door-to-door by Lamborghini’s white-glove concierge service, were eager to get warmed up. After a picture-perfect lunch, the colorful caravan of Aventadors, Huracans and Gallardos hit the road, eventually embarking on a 6,228-foot climb up New Hampshire’s famed Mount Washington.
The spirited drive continued all afternoon until arrival at one of Vermont’s most prestigious accommodations, the TopNotch Resort and Spa, tucked deep in the rolling hills of Stowe. Here, guests found some time to relax before regrouping for another spectacular dinner and a chance to share stories from behind the wheel.
The third day was reserved for several optional activities, or to simply explore the beautiful Vermont scenery. Guests spent time at the resort spa or ventured outside to take in the picturesque landscapes and pristine mountain air. The evening wrapped up with a delicious farm-to-table dinner in the perennial gardens of the 120-acre resort.
After a restful night’s sleep, it was time to get back behind the wheel. Day four consisted of an unforgettable trip through Vermont’s iconic Appalachian Gap, where upon arrival at the Massachusetts state border, the pack of Lamborghinis were greeted by a police escort. The roads ahead cleared as the vibrant Italian bulls were welcomed into the city of Boston, engines roaring as historical landmarks breezed by. Guests had the day to explore the area before boarding a private yacht for a memorable dinner and sunset cruise along the Boston Harbor.
The final day was spent shopping, visiting museums or taking part in any of the other countless activities Boston has to offer. Owners enjoyed a leisurely check out and said farewell to their fellow traveling companions and Lamborghini family members before returning home.
A program this generous ensures a well-crafted union of driving, relaxing and camaraderie among passionate owners. Guests were able to re-kindle old friendships, or foster brand new ones with like-minded Lamborghini enthusiasts from across North America. Giro 2015 is one that surely won’t be forgotten anytime soon by those in attendance.
While the location may change each year, the heart of Giro remains the same. By exploring some of the country’s most beautiful, hidden landscapes, drivers are able to experience firsthand that owning a Lamborghini means so much more than simply owning a car. It’s that idea that keeps customers coming back, year after year, energizing the values of the brand and creating memorable experiences that they will carry with them for life. If you’d like to become a part of Giro, make sure to stay connected with your local dealer for more information about this once-a-year opportunity.
